IMPLANTS FOR DENTURES & BRIDGES

Traditional dentures and bridges can improve the appearance of a smile by filling in gaps, but it cannot improve the health of the smile. Only dental implants can give you the lifelike and stimulating qualities of real tooth roots and teeth. Dr. Wurtzel provides permanent dentures and implant-supported bridges in all of their variations so that his patients can create the smiles of their dreams.

Permanent Implant-Supported Dentures

There are two forms of denture implants, which are also known as permanent dentures: Permanent implant-supported bridges and removable implant-supported bridges. Both are anchored by dental implants. The first type of permanent dentures, permanent implant-supported bridges, stay in your mouth at all times. These permanent dentures are held down by several dental implants that fuse with your jawbone, and are never to be removed. Permanent implant-supported dentures stay in your mouth while you eat, talk, and maintain them, just like real teeth.

Removable Implant-Supported Dentures

Removable implant-supported dentures are a form of denture implants that are stable and secure, just like permanent implant-supported dentures, but can be taken in and out. Removable implant-supported dentures will stay in place while you eat, smile, and laugh, but they are removed for cleanings and other times that are convenient for you. These denture implants often need fewer dental implants to hold them in place. You can simply click your denture implants in and out any time.

Permanent Implant-Supported Bridges

Permanent implant-supported bridges require only a few strategically placed dental implants to hold them in place. The dental bridge is composed of multiple crowns fused into a single appliance. The dental bridge is anchored to the dental implants, and in the case of a permanent dental bridge, it cannot be removed by the patient. Many patients prefer this true-to-life replacement method if they have not experienced significant bone loss.

Removable Implant-Supported Bridges

We also offer a removable dental bridge that is still supported by dental implants. Again, the dental bridge will stay in place when you want it to, anchored to a few dental implants, but it can be removed at your convenience.

If you want a healthy mouth and a youthful appearance, there is only one mode of tooth replacement for you: Dental implants. Fortunately, Dr. Wurtzel provides plenty of options within the world of dental implants, including permanent dentures and implant-supported bridges. Give us a call today to find out how we can transform your smile with dental implants.
